Mobility Scooters
Mobility scooters are a great way to help you live an independent life, however they must be used safely:
- If you live within an apartment block, you must speak with us before making plans to purchase a mobility scooter.
- Before using your scooter make sure you know how all the controls work.
- Scooters must not be stored or charged in communal internal areas.
- Do not overload your scooter when out shopping, this could cause it to tip over.
- Do not drive your scooter on the road unless it is a class three vehicle.
- Remember, pedestrians have right of way on the pavement.
- Make sure you keep your mobility scooter well maintained.
- Always be aware of pedestrians around you and drive safely.
- Insuring your mobility scooter is a good idea for security and safety.
