Housing Perks is a free app that offers discounts of between 4% and 10% at ASDA, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer, B&M, Primark and many more.  

Housing Perks is already used by housing association customers in England and Clanmil is the first housing association in Northern Ireland to offer their customers access to this app. 

Any Clanmil customer can use the app if they have a mobile phone. Simply download the app from Google Play or the App Store and enter and validate your phone number. The organisation ID is Clanmil and you will need to enter your Clanmil Agreement Reference.  

You can find your Agreement Reference on any recent letters or email from us. If you don’t know your Agreement Reference, contact the Housing team on 028 9087 6000 or by emailing housing@clanmil.org.uk. 

Once you have registered, you can then use your payment card or digital wallet to buy a discounted voucher from your brand of choice and start saving. 

 

How to use the Housing Perks app 

1. Go to the App store or Google Play Store and download the Housing Perks mobile app. 

2. You will be asked to select Sign Up to continue 

3. Next, enter a valid phone number 

4. You will be sent a passcode via text message 

5. Enter the passcode and choose Continue 

6. Then enter the organisation ID, Clanmil

7. Enter your Agreement Reference on the following line

8. Browse and pay for your vouchers. 

9. Finally, shop and enjoy the savings!

Rent Contributions

We’re excited to announce a new feature available to all customers using the Housing Perks mobile app - rent contributions! 

This new feature lets you automatically put the savings you make from using Housing Perks vouchers towards your rent. It’s a convenient way to make your shopping savings work even harder for you.

 

How it works

Every time you save money by purchasing a voucher through Housing Perks, that saving can be automatically applied as a contribution towards your rent balance. It’s simple to set up, and you’re always in control.

To start using the rent contributions feature, follow these easy steps:

• Open your Housing Perks app and go to the Rent section in the menu.
• Switch On "Rent Contributions" (if it's not already enabled).

That's it! From now on, every time you buy a voucher, the savings you made will automatically be used as a contribution towards your rent.

 

Example

Let’s say you purchase a £100 Asda voucher and it has a 4% discount. You’ll pay £100 for the voucher and you’ll receive a voucher loaded with £100 that you can use towards your shopping. Also, £4 will be contributed by Housing Perks towards your rent.

If you change your mind, you can always switch back to getting the discount straight away.

For the first 3 supermarket vouchers purchased using the Rent Contributions feature, customers will receive a boost of their discount totaling 10%.

 

Further information 

• The vouchers are similar to a gift card and can be for any amount.  
• Most vouchers are valid for one to two years and don’t have to be used straight away. 
• You can share the voucher with anyone you know by sending it to them via Text or WhatsApp.   
• The company that owns Housing Perks is called Rainly, so you may notice this name on your bank statements
